ESA Participation

Participation of EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) and EFTA Member States

When an Advisory Committee meeting is convened in a case with EEA relevance, the invitation to attend this meeting is extended to the ESA 1 .

More about ESA Participation

ESA and EFTA States have the right to participate and make observations. They however do not have the right to vote (they do not sign the Opinion of the Advisory Committee). In practice, ESA often produces a separate opinion (“EFTA views”), following the same model as the Opinion of the Advisory Committee.
